Japan is a country that constantly attracts people from overseas with two opposite sides.
Modern and Classic.
Like the most famous traffic crossing in Shibuya with tons of tons of colorful lights blinking represents the modern side of Japan. On the other hand, there are a number of beautiful castles from olden days that still amaze us.
Ginza is one of the district holds both sides in Tokyo.
There is a classical Kabuki theater and also international high fashion shops line up.
I know most of tourists from overseas like to go to Ginza at least once while their visit, and if so, I would want you to stop by this restaurant.

Ginza Lion is the very first beer hall opened at Ginza, Tokyo back in 1934. It was a one of a kind back then, and it still is today. Ginza is known as the most posh area in Tokyo, but there is nothing too fancy about Ginza Lion.

As soon as you step in the beer hall, you would feel like going back in time.
With one big room, a high ceiling, European style mosaic art on the wall, and German marching songs playing in the background. It almost has got a theme park atmosphere.
I liked how it was packed and energetic with a big crowd, like reminded me of oktoberfest the German beer festival.

Drinking a glass of cold beer at the classical beer hall in Ginza makes me feel like I am grown up all in sudden.
It is a must stop destination to go grab a beer with your friends once you are in Tokyo.
