The sushi cat keychain series was created by Kitan Club. Named Nekozushi Nyaata, the series comprises of 6 types of cats. Each of them has a personality too! Toromi, the prettiest cat in the bunch, carries a pink randoseru (German made backpack that Japanese students usually carry) full of tuna and likes to study.
The grey cat, named Nyata, carries a spring onion and lobster on his back. Apparently it is also a vegetarian!
Think that these sushi cats are too cute to resist? You can purchase them from a gachapon vending machine for 300 Yen, right outside of Yamashiroya toy store in Ueno. For those who don’t like to tempt fate, you can also purchase them from inside the store. Note though, that at 432 Yen, the prices are slightly higher and you still won’t be able to choose the sushi cat.
