Our Dorayaki quest is endless with dozens of dorayaki to taste!
So, what is this week’s flavour?
If you can read Japanese you would have noticed, it’s strawberry jam dorayaki!
At first glance, I thought it would be a simple dorayaki pancake with just strawberry jam in the middle…

But it wasn’t.
There are two thin layers of strawberry jam on the pancakes and red bean paste in the middle.
The red bean paste used here is koshi-an, which means smooth-type with smoothly pureed beans.

The dorayaki is quite sweet with a slightly sour taste coming from the strawberry jam.
It will taste very good with black tea or Ceylon tea.

You can find this dorayaki in the 100 yen shop chain called Can Do.
There’s a lot of Can Do shops all around Japan.
