Persimmon, or “kaki” in Japanese, is the most famous autumn fruit.
You can find plenty of them in supermarkets for a cheap price during this season.
Since it’s one of my favorite fruits, I couldn’t resist to buy some!
If the kaki is not ripe enough, it’s very astringent in the mouth, so please be careful.
Looks so delicious, doesn’t it?
While walking in the neighborhood, I noticed some kaki trees as well.
If they are still green or yellow, they’re inedible.
The tree was located in a public place so I wonder if people are taking and eat them from the tree.
Tempting…
You can eat kaki in many ways: just plain, in a salad, dried, in cakes, and so on.
There’s also a lot of beauty products with kaki, like shampoo.
Have you ever had a kaki? Did you like it?
