In summer, we will have more opportunities to meet new friends or people through travelling overseas or going to any kind of events and festivals. 
Today, we will introduce a word “Hajimemashite (はじめまして)”. 
This word is a common Japanese greeting and is used when introducing yourself at the first time.

As we mentioned above, “Hajimemashite” is the greeting used the first time meeting someone. The word is a shortened form of a phrase “Hajimete ome ni kakari masu (はじめてお目にかかります)”
In Japan, we commonly start introducing ourselves with “Hajimamashite” first. 

Let’s make many Japanese friends saying “Hajimemashite” to new people when you come to japan next time!
