For today, let me introduce to you Japanese word Oshiete (教えて).
Oshiete (教えて) is a verb. It means “tell me”, “teach me”, “explain to me”.
It comes from noun oshie (教え) which means "teachings", knowledge or skills.
By adding te (て), it becomes a verb that expresses our request to someone to tell/share us his/her knowledge/info about something.
When you use it in daily conversation, you should also use kudasai (ください) to add politeness element after the word: It will become “oshiete kudasai” (教えてください)
