What are the things you miss from your childhood?
Have you seen something from back in your good old days recently?Next time that happens, try throwing in this Japanese word: “Natsukashii~~~!”(懐かしい)
There is no direct translation of the word in any language (at least as far as we know).
It means something along the lines of “nostalgic” or “great memories”, and people use it when they refer to something from the past that they miss.
Japanese people use this a lot!
“Do you remember Rubic Cubes?” “Natsukashii~~!!”
“Remember when we played pokemon on the first GameBoy?” “Natsukashii~~!!”
“Back in my days, when we used MSN Messenger…” “Natsukashii~~~!!”
I’m sure you encounter these moments in your daily life as well.
So next time just remember: Natsukashii~~~~~!!!
