Hi friends!
Today’s lesson covers a word that doesn’t have an English equivalent… the word is “yoroshiku(よろしく).” Have you heard Japanese people exchange this word before? It’s used in a variety of contexts!
When you meet someone: “Nice to meet you! Yoroshiku.” (nice to meet you)
When addressing a large group in a meeting: “Yoroshiku for today.” (let’s all work well together)
When parting ways with an old friend: “Tell your mother “yoroshiku” for me.“ (give my regards)
When your boss is busy: “We need to prepare XYZ. That report yoroshiku.” (please get it done)
