Do you like to eat dessert? How about Japanese dessert? Recently, I really like to visit Sumoboo!, a place to enjoy dessert with Japanese theme. I visited one of its stall at Kota Kasablanka mall, Jakarta, with my friend some time ago. Beside that, you can also find it at Mall Taman Anggrek, Grand Indonesia Shopping Mall, Pantai Indah Kapuk, and Sunter.
Sumoboo! stall is quite small, yet it is cozy enough to have a short stop before continuing to wander around the mall. I really love to spend a little time there chit-chatting with a friend while enjoying the dessert.
There is always a lot of people visiting Sumoboo!, especially after lunch time. So expect a waiting list at that time. The waitress will note your name and call you if there is empty chair. It might take times to wait but worth to do.
Since I like cute things, I ordered Boo!! Ogura Kakigori. It is shaved ice with vanilla pudding in the bottom, topped with condensed milk and ogura ice cream. It is so cute because the ice is shaped like a bear’s head. Its ears are made from strawberry. The portion is quite big so you can share it with your companion.
It tasted so refreshing, especially after we went around the mall. The vanilla pudding was so soft and went well with the ice. I also loved its ogura ice cream. It was not too sweet and creamy. There were some red bean pieces in the ice cream too.
I also ordered Nutella Bomb Ball. It is 3 pieces mochi with Nutella filling, also topped with chocolate powder. Sounds yummy, doesn’t it? Yes, it is yummy. The mochi is soft and chewy. It has no taste or plain, so we get sweet taste from nutella and chocolate powder.
My friend ordered Sumoboo’s dessert that contains bomb ball, big boba pearl, taro, and a scoop of ice cream of your choice. She chose green tea ice cream on it. Its taste was also refreshing and milky. The size is also big, so if you are not a big eater, you can share it with your companion.
Beside dessert, there is also savory food like hotdog, ramen, pasta, and even donburi. For you who drink alcohol, Sumoboo! also serves sake and beer. So anyone who doesn’t have sweet tooth still can order something at Sumoboo!
