Today, I would like to introduce the “KANPAN” which is called hardtack or ship biscuit in English. However, this is not usual KANPAN as they are known as hard biscuit before. They are now soft delicious bread in this can.

This KANPAN is made by Kyoto Bologna which is a very famous and above- average in price bakery in Gion, Kyoto. The can is designed to be opened without a tool and can been opened without too much force. Most surprisingly, this bread can be kept for as long as five years so you don’t have to worry about the expiration date that often.
