Japanese Cuisine always being a favorite to all gender and all ages. In Yogyakarta, which also established a sister city relationship with Japan, there are a variety of Japanese cuisine restaurant. One of them is Niji Shushi. When I was walking around in Jl. Gejayan area, I found this unique little Japanese restaurant.
From the beginning, I always interested in Japanese cuisine, so I walk into the restaurant and choose the second floor. The waitress also very friendly they greet me, find me a table to eat, and give me the menu. When I look up the menu, I was shock. The price that they offer are cheap for a various menu. In this restaurant we can reach a complete Japanese cuisine. From Shushi to Ramen available here. The price of the cuisine on the average 8k – 20k.
Their menu make me want to order everything. My mind is craving for all that offered there. After a long time battle with my own mind, I decided order the one Salmon shushi, one Seafood Ramen, and one Chicken Katsu Bento.
I was not take a long time to wait the foods come to my sight. First, I took the Ramen first, The seafood stock in ramen's soup is very strong. That was a rainy night, the seafood ramen was complete my night with give me the warm from its soup. It has shrimp, crab stick as the toping. Second, I rush into my Salmon shushi. The texture of salmon are soft, and tasty. It combine with mayonnaise as its toping, and we can ask for Ginger pickles if we want to. I ask waitress then they give me some wasabi and ginger pickles. Finally, I reach my final food. The Chicken Katsu Bento! From the smell of chicken katsu already make me drooling. Texture of the katsu is soft, tender, and crispy. For the side dish, they give me a fresh salad and two sushi rolls.
That was delicious. I gave my stomach full of the delicious food from Niji shushi. I was look around, The guest, mostly from university student, and youth. They can chit chat, also they often studies and doing their group assignment in there. Design of the restaurant is resembled Ramen house in Japan. What a cozy environment!! This place is quite popular in Yogyakarta, even this restaurant still categorized as New comer. Yogyakarta Japanese lover already know this place.
