Well, in this place, you will not only feel excited with how complete their set menu is, but you will also become full and satisfied with the taste and the portion.
The restaurant name is Katsusei. It has two outlets in Jakarta; one is at Plaza Senayan and another one is at Grand Indonesia.
Katsusei provides various kinds of katsu, such as chicken, beef, pork, salmon, and prawn. They sell their food in form of set menus. When you order a set menu, you will get a bowl of rice, several pieces of katsu, pickles, salad, and soup. For the soup, you can choose miso soup or tonjiru soup. For the drink, of course “ocha” is the best choice.
While waiting for your food to be served, you can prepare the dressing for you katsu lat. On each table, there are sesame seeds and two kinds of sauces; one is salty and another one is rather sour. First you can take and put the sesame seeds on a small bowl, pound them with a stick provided, then pour the sauce you like. You can also mix the two sauces with the composition you like.
One thing you need to know, the ingredients used by Katsusei is originally from Japan. Besides that, the chef is Japanese. Therefore, you can certainly taste authentic Japanese katsu. However, the price might be rather expensive. If they have lunch menu promo, you can try this. Their lunch menu promo costs less than the regular menu, but the portion is still satisfying ;)
