Hi, back with me, Navio, on the second part of the Gigantic Udon article!
There were 6 of us...but why are there only 4 udon bowls?!
There were 3 boys and 3 girls.
Of course, us boys ordered one bowl for ourselves, on the other hand, the girls only ordered 1 for 3 of them.
Unfortunately! it’s the rule of the restaurant, 1 person 1 order.
It’s a fact that girls don’t eat much, so yeah, finishing a gigantic bowl like this must be hard for some of them.
So, what should we do?
Don’t worry, there are many other things you can order!
Rice rolls, desserts, are also counted as one order right? :D
I took a video of the menu, check it out!
There I also found an interesting item!
A tiny wooden box..
After a while, I managed to *accidentally* open it, haha.
It was spicy flavoring, called 七味 (shichimi) inside, you sow it into your udon to make it spicier
Here’s the spoon I used to spoon the soup.
Also gigantic.
The udon was really delicious.
Rich flavours and delicious soup.
Perfect combination.
Remember the “a little bit expensive” part?
My beef curry costed ¥1280
But!
It’s really worth a try!
I really recommend this restaurant!
Best udon I’ve ever had!
Oh!
With the same price, you can change the portion of the udon :
1 玉 (ichi tama) ← regular size
1.5 玉 (ichi ten go tama)
2 玉 (ni tama) ← I ordered this one :D, took me about 45 minutes to finish *slowly* the whole bowl, haha
2.5 玉 (ni ten go tama)
3 玉 (san tama)
Here’s a photo of me sipping the soup from the bowl.
As you can see, the bowl is really big!
You can fit your head into the bowl..
Finished!
If I have to give a score to this restaurant overall, I would give it 10 out of 10!
I want to visit the one in Roppongi next time.
Must be awesome!
