Welcome to Siah’s gourmet diary !!
I wonder are there any dishes made from horse-meat in Indonesia?

Today’s special dish for me is the 馬刺しユッケ Horse Sashimi Yukke .
Yukke is a kind of Korean cuisine, but of course , because both Korea and Japan are near to each other, the Yukke also became one of the common food in Japan.
The red and pink colored meat are the horse meat, and there is a raw egg yolk in the middle.

You need to stir it well and add on lemon before eating it.

I found in at a Yakitori-restaurant near my house at the Nogata station.

How was the taste like ? You might ask.
Well for me, it tasted no different from other kinds of fish sashimi.

The taste were not that strong , and it was quite sweet.

Overall, it was NICE , OISHII!!
But I felt a little sorry for the poor horse…

p/s: No matter how safe and advanced the food producing technology is in Japan, raw food still possesses a high risk that leads to food poisoning /diarrhea etc . If you have a weak and sensitive stomach, my advice is not to try it !! :)
