Yes, summer has come in Tokyo. As the weather is getting nicer and nicer, you want to get some nice clothings for the fun summer time. If you want to get ready for the season and refresh your wardrobe, outlet malls can be your best friends. We are going to introduce 5 outlet malls that you can go within an hour from the center of Tokyo.
Mitsui Outlet Park, Kisarazu
If you know where Kisarazu is located, you might think it is a bit far since it is located in the edge of Chiba. However, they have shuttle running from main stations in the Tokyo area such as Tokyo station, Shinagawa station, Shinjuku station and more. And it tooks around 50 minutes depends on where you are so the access to the outlet mall is quite good. In addition, they are probably the biggest outlet mall in the area so if you are wondering where to go, you should ride on the shuttle and go to this one. You need to pay for the shuttle though you are going to get coupon tickets that worth more than the shuttle fee so don’t forget to get one.
Mitsui Outlet Park, Makuhari
This one is not as big as the one in Kisarazu though this place is the most accessible outlet mall from Tokyo. From Tokyo station, it takes only 30 mins by Keiyo line. Located in front of Kaihin Makuhari station, they have 137 stores in total so you cannot miss this place. Also if you walk around 15 mins, you get to Aeon Mall Makuhari-shintoshin which is one of the biggest shopping mall in Japan. So if you want to have a deep shopping tour, you should also stop by the mall.

Aeon Laketown Outlet is located in Koshigaya, Saitama. From Tokyo station, it takes an hour by Musashino-line. The outlet itself is not that big, although it is right next to another biggest shopping mall, Aeon Laketown, as well as IKEA and another big mall, Lala Port are available in the close location so if you have a car and wondering where to go for shopping, this place might be an option.
Venus Fort, Odaiba

The third floor of VenusFort is actually an outlet area. They are just a part of VenusFort though you can find something you cannot find in other regular outlet malls because they are selling discounted items from the stores inside of VenusFort, a sophisticated mall in Odaiba. In addition, you can get to hop around the Odaiba area before/after shopping so for the convenience and additional fun time in Odaiba, this place is A+.
Mitsui Outlet Park Iruma

This one is another bigger outlet mall in the area. They have extensive items with nice quality and it is worth to go. However one only issue is that the access is not that convenient. Takes about an hour from Ikebukuro though you need to change to the public bus to get there.
