Sensoji Temple or what we known as Asakusa Temple is considered as another famous place for visitting during vacation that everyone who comes to Tokyo need to visit. With the gigantic of the temple, its reputation of wishing for luck, and the joyful of the atmosphere in the temple, attracting many people to feel and experience once. But that is just a part of the temple, there are more interesting places to discover in this place, which I will recommend to you about these fascination parts.

Once you arrive at the area in front of the temple, you will see many people who will take you for a ride in the old-fashion way. Some of them will come to you and ask in English (most of them are able to communicate well in English) whether you would like to have a ride with them and will propose you the packages that they provide. What you must do when coming to Sensoji Temple is to throw the coin and make a wish and receive a fortune telling where you have to put 100 yen coin in the box, who receive a good fortune paper can take it back home, but for the bad one, you can tie it at the temple to leave the bad things here. After that, you can beckon the smoke from the joss stick in front of the main temple to bring in luck.

Another recommend activity that is suitable for women is kimono renting, but if men are interesting in renting one, there is a men version available as well. If you are coming during summer, there will be yukata available for rental instead, but there will be kimono for winter. There are many kimono rental stores around the area of the temple where some of the stores allow you can book for the rental via its website. The renting fee will be different according to the package that you choose, the starting price is 3000 yen, but if you want to choose a better quality of fabrics and a more beautiful patterns, ther price will be higher as well. The renting method will be vary from the stores, but mostly you will be able to rentfrom the morning but you need to return before the store is closed or you will be charged for the penalty.

Once you finish renting the kimono, you can wear the outfit and walk around for taking photo at any beautiful places. I would recommend the garden next to the main temple. If you stand facing the temple, this garden will be located on the left of the temple. Even though, it is not a big garden, but I would consider it as a traditional Japanese garden that has everything, the bridge, fish, waterfall, trees, and flowers, could be said that you come to only one place but can experience the real authentic Japanese garden.

Another thing that I would like to suggest is the fact that the temple is located very close to Tokyo Skytree, if anyone is interested in going for the sightseeing, I would say that you should also visit the Skytree as it is not too far and it can save you time.

The Sensoji Temple will open at 6.30 a.m. and close at 5.30 p.m. To come here, you just need to take the train to Asakusa Station and go to Exit 1 or Exit 3, and walk a little bit then you will see the temple.
