Nakamise Shopping Street
Hello everyone!
For the last few weeks, my mom came to town and we had been going around Tokyo, to different places that we have never been to. One of them was the street in Asakusa called Nakamise Shopping Street.
Nakamise Shopping Street is a street which leads to the famous Buddhist Temple called Sensoji Temple.
In this street, you can find stuff that you can’t find in other places like the samurai sword, traditional snacks, traditional omiyage souvenirs, and little things that are really unique symbolizing Japan.
There are about 90 stores opened there and is always crowded by foreigners and even local residents. It has a distinct atmosphere unlike any other place in Japan. somewhat traditional but very energetic.
Interesting isn’t it? Plus, the price of goods are considerably cheaper than the other places in Japan. Although it’s a very common tourist destination, I’d say it is well worth it.
