"Hara Museum ARC" us an art gallery located in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture. It contains many different exhibitions and antiques including art from various foreign countries as well as pictures and such from the early modern periods of Japan. There are even art pieces on the outside of the art museum making it a place where you can definitely have your fill of contemporary artwork. Being adjacent to a pasture, the surrounding area is full of luscious green and allows for a relaxing and calm viewing of artwork.

"Hara Museum ARC" - Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, was created as a separate building to "Hara Museum" located in Tokyo's Shinagawa District in the year 1988. Inside of the institution you have many different modern exhibitions from all around the world which are called the "Hara Museum Collection". In 2008 there was an increase in special exhibitions with the "Kankaian" exhibition displaying many different oriental antiques. The outside of the museum has black as it's main color and is surrounded by lots of green grass and plant-life making the building itself an artwork to behold.

"Hara Museum ARC" Has a lot of different things to see, but the thing you simply cannot miss has to be the various different amazing exhibitions all of which have unique items of modern art. In the three different exhibition rooms you have lights coming from above creating natural and soft lighting which the unique exhibitions in the middle of a simplistic yet beautiful room. On the outside of the institution you can see various different standing exhibitions from the likes of Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Aiko Miyawaki. Furthermore, within the institution there is an exhibition with the oriental style of Japan as it's main theme called the "Kankaian". It is a room where the work of different craftsmen is lit up for all to see which are using materials suck as wood, stone, mortar and Japanese paper.

"Hara Museum ARC" Open hours are from 9:30 to 16:30 (Last entrance is 30 minutes prior to closing). They have a set holiday of Thursday (Excepting national holidays and the month of August), they change exhibitions once per month, in winter (from the middle of January to the middle of March).

In the cafe which is located within the institution, they have prepared a lunch menu which uses various local ingredients for you to try. Spend a relaxing time looking towards the green pasture adjacent from the cafe whilst eating delicious food and enjoying a refreshing drink. The open hours for the cafe are from 10:00 - 16:30 (Last order at 16:15). Furthermore, in the shops there are various items you can purchase such as post cards, original goods as well as of course, artistic goods. The holidays for these services are the same as the institution itself being every Thursday (Excepting national holidays and the month of August), 1 day of every month for exhibition changes, winter and any other day in which the main building is on holiday. The use the cafe you must pay the entrance fee for the museum itself.

To get to Hara Museum ARC from Tokyo, you can take the bullet train (shinkansen) from Tokyo station (approx 50 minutes) and get off at Takasaki Station. From there you can change train lines to the Jōetsu Line (25 minutes) and get off at Shibukawa Station. From Shibukawa station you can ride the Ikaho Hot Springs bus (15 minutes) before getting off at the Ikaho Green Bokujo and walking 5 minutes to the museum.
