Where is Chugoku area?
Western Honshu of Japan- Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Shimane, and Tottori. It is also called “San’in and Sanyo areas”. “San’in area” includes Tottori, Shimane, and northern Yamaguchi. Sometimes, it also includes northern Kyoto and Hyogo. “Sanyo area” is Okayama and Hiroshima, along with southern Yamaguchi. You may use the Okayama airport in Okayama and Hiroshima airport in Hiroshima when you visit there.
Where is Shikoku?
It includes the main island with four prefectures- Kagawa, Ehime, Tokushima, and Kochi, as well as over 400 outlying islands on the Seto inland sea. Generally, Kagawa and Ehime are regarded as north Shikoku; Tokushima and Kochi are south Shikoku. Inbound visitors can use Matsuyama airport in Ehime, Takamatsu airport of Kagawa, and Tokushima airport of Tokushima.

- Remarks:
- Cannot be used for Sanyo shinkansen super express

Visit Hiroshima Tourist Pass
- Price: 1,500 - 6,500 yen (adult)
- Validity: 2 - 4 consecutive days
- Area(s): in Hiroshima
- Remarks:
- You need to show your passport when purchasing the pass
JR Hiroshima-Yamaguchi Area Pass
- Price: 11,000 - 12,000 yen (adult)
- Validity: 5 consecutive days
- Area(s): Fukuoka, Hakata, Yamaguchi, and Hiroshima areas
- Remarks:
- Also good to use for Miyashima ferry and the free seats of “Hello Kitty Shinkansen”
JR Okayama-Hiroshima-Yamaguchi Area Pass
- Price: 13,500 - 14,500 yen (adult)
- Validity: 5 consecutive days
- Area(s): Fukuoka area (partial), Yamaguchi, Hiroshima, Okayama, Kagawa(partial) area
- Remarks:
- Also good to use for Miyashima ferry and the free seats of “Hello Kitty Shinkansen”
- Also good to use for the free seats of Sanyo shinkansen (between Hakata and Okayama). Not applicable to areas between Shin Osaka and Okayama, nor local lines in Kyushu.
JR ALL SHIKOKU Rail Pass
